Well, i've been doing a little bit of reading on here, and i was wondering exactly how hard it would be to drop a 5m-ge from a 84 supra into my 93 pickup.
The supra was totaled, due to the fact that im young and stupid.
But, the motor is still good, and it has everything with it(Harness, ecu, etc)
So, basically im wondering if theres any modifications that have to be done.
I read on here that if you have the motor mounts and the bellhousing, it can bolt right in with a little bit of work on the oil pan? (Trucks lifted 2 inches, if that would make a difference.)

Edit- Truck is 4wd with ifs, i get the feeling that will be important.

 

Guys, if anyones got any input it'd be really useful. I might be jumping into this swap very soon, and it is my first swap, other than helping with a 350 swap from a truck that already had a 350.

 

First thing that comes to mind is length with accessories, radiator, fans, etc. If you are willing to chop the firewall up a bit, it should fit.

My first big car project was an engine swap on an mr2 in a single car garage with one small set of sockets and wrenches. Good luck with your swap.
