oops i posted in wrong section, its a 91 v6 4runner



so after looking and reading a little im trying to get a feeling what brand u like more and why? i was seeing fel-pro good then bad, but my gaskets have gone bad and i just did them less then 10,000 miles ago. and im having to do them again and i dont want to have to keep doing them every year, so what brand should i use.

 

I've had very good luck using the engine valve grind gasket kit from the Toyota dealer, at least for the 5vz-fe. This kit includes the head gaskets. The last I checked, the Toyota kit through the online dealers was cheaper than the fel-pro kit through a local parts place.....cannot speak to your engine though.

 

In my humble opinion, Toyota factory all the way....

The quality is superb, and there is no substitute. When it comes to plugs and minor odds and ends, you can get by on chain store parts. Its usually the same brand(ND or NGK for example) that Toyota uses. But gaskets, electrical parts, engine components, Toyota.
