T100 front brake swap this weekend

Just placed my order with Rock Auto-everything should be here by Friday at the latest. Loaded Raybestos calipers and Raybestos rotors shipped to my door for only a couple bucks more than the local parts place and I don't have to worry about cores because the charge on the calipers was only $10 each. I plan on doing the booster/master later in the winter when I have some extra cash and more time to work on it. Either way it will be a big upgrade from the worn out stuff that's on there now-no clue when they were last done-I've only put about 1500 miles on the truck so far. The pads are thin, rotors are grooved up bad, and I get a shimmy on hard braking so one or both are definitely warped. I also need to look at the passenger side hub. It won't turn all the way to lock but it is definitely locking as 4WD is working fine. Can't wait to see how much better it stops!

Keep us posted. I'm planning on doing this swap sometime in 2013. Do you mind letting us know the total on those parts and what quote you got on the master/booster?

I haven't looked up the master and booster yet. I'm staying with the stock units since I don't have the cash to upgrade everything all at once. That said, my front brakes are in BAAAAAAD shape (I just recently got the truck) and I figured I might as well upgrade those now. Anything would be a huge upgrade over whats on there now and even without the master/booster upgrade there is probably some difference over the stock units. Everything shipped was $289-that's with having to eat $20 worth of core charges ($10 per caliper)-I called around and most places didn't have them in stock and the core charges were a lot higher. I might have been able to pay about $20-30 less (basically the cost of shipping) locally but this way they'll be delivered right to my office and I can just cart them home with me on Friday and have them installed by 10 a.m. on Saturday. I might actually try a yard for the master and booster instead of going new. There's a great thread on the full upgrade here:
