88 v6 into 91 v6

I recently purchased a 3.0l v6 out of an 88 4runner and i am going to put it in a 91 4runner. I was just wondering if i can just use the 91 engine harness and computer straight up with no conversion wiring? Sorry if its a newbie question..

LOL wow, I did the opposite. Mine just got totalled on Friday. :-(
Just use your 91 parts on the 88 engine and you will be fine. Oh the FI units are low impedance ( I would be interested in the 88 injectors). You need the high impedance injectors from your 91 engine. I do not think you got the resistance pack off the fenderwell when you got the engine, so the FI's will burn up if you try to use them. use the 91 ECU and all the instrument sensors.

Drop me a line if you need help, it may be a while before the insurance company and I settle.
