is this a good price on 22re+harness+ecu+tranny

I am about to by all the stuff I need to do a 3.4 swap on my 87 4runner, the guy selling the engine/tranny combo is an awesome guy and has great quality stuff.

he has offered store credit on my old 22re+transmission+harness+ecu of $400.

The 22re is 240k miles on it and is very dependable (it is in my daily driver).

I think it would be pretty smooth of a transition doing the engine swap then giving him the old stuff and not having to worry about it, but would I be better off paying full price on the new stuff and then selling the old stuff on here or on craigslist?

You will make more if you do a private sale parting it out, but then you have to do it. and have a place to keep it.

you were right, I contacted another guy who was previously looking into my engine and let him know, and he offered $700 for the engine/trans/harness/ecu.
