hey guys im kinda new on this site, but i have a question my little toyota is a manual transmission and up till now when i get up to about 4th gear it will act like its starving for gas when i put in the gas it starves it wont die or give me any sort of indication like its dieing it will just act real strong when i let go of the gas this problem i thought i had it fixed when i had a new clutch put in the problem went away for about a week then it came back
has 184,000 miles on it drove good all the way to salt lake and back without any problems and then drove some more but then today it acted up

2.4ltr 4cylinder
manual transmission
new oil filter, new clutch
im wondering can it be the fuel filter?

 

The fuel filter would be a good starting point.

 

x2 with swamp fox, thats what mine did, come to find out it was clogged with mud, not good for a new motor, after the change it fixed it all

 

lines on top of the fuel pump bracket rusted out. it happened to me. it's a $300 part, so if you don't mind, there are people who j.b. weld the line back together.
