93 Pickup auto tranny horrible vibration in 4x4

Hey all, so I recently replaced my A340H with a newer one from a junkyard. It went in ok, but now (even after AAMCO fixed a wiring short) when i drop in 4x4 and TURN (this issue only happens when turning) there is a horrible vibrating noise and the whole cab shakes. I had my buddy take it back into 2 wheel, and I looked at the rear of the tranny to find that when he put it back into 2hi, and the driveshaft is binding up- it jumps a 1/4 rotation when it goes back into 2hi. Not to mention the release of tourque is ridiculous when he take it out of 4-Lo. it also does this as well in 4-hi. it only makes the noise when I Turn the vehicle. not sure what to do...

If you're on dry pavement & turning in 4wd, it WILL bind up. That's the way they work.

Otherwise, I wonder if you have mismatched differential gearing between front/rear....

fixed

hey guys, thanks for the initial insight, but figured it out. Took it back to AAMCO, and they discovered that the rear driveshaft-to-tranny bolts were mounted backwards...so apparently they were scraping the 4wd shift linkage when the t-case would move a bit due to torque, thus causing the awful noise right under the center console. weird enough situation, but figured i'd let allyall know cuz that was surely a head scratcher, thank god it was something simple.
and on a sidenote, i guess i should have been more descriptive: this wasnt the traditional binding one experiences when turning in 4wd on pavement, obviously thats normal. I meant the T-case appeared to be binding up internally, what with the rear driveshaft behaving over-torqued and what not. thanks again.
