Hello to all. I am working on an 85 4x4 truck with a 22re and auto. This is a hunting truck that stays on the ranch and mice have chewed alot of the wiring. The problem is its not getting fuel. I have traced the wires and they look ok, and have tried the jumper wire and still the pump wont run. I did try a 12v low pressure pump i have hooked into the line and it will run but only at an idle because of the low pressure. My question is can i run a universal pump putting out about 50 psi and hook that up to an axillary tank in the bed? Will it run fine not using the stock pump, tank and wiring? Keep in mind this truck gets used about three weeks in december and only goes about 20 miles round trip, and doesnt get over about 35 mph. Thanks for the help.
