dash lights out and electrical box unplugged in engine

ok so i have an 86 PU and the interior dash lights (temp, spd, gas) are out and i cant find any fuses or anything. i havnt had the truck long though. and there is a black electrical box like thing on the driver side attached to the wheel well next to a air intake thing (forgot the name of it), anyways the two plugs are not plugged, just wondering why or what and if i should plug them in.

thanks

Just plug them back in, they are like caps to keep water out. when pluged in they will stay dry and not short out they have nothing to do with your dash lights.your fuses are on the driver side inside the truck I beleive its a 15amp fuse you really can't get your head in there to see if its blown however you can see enough to pull each one out to check. I have a 1986 pu as well and replaced the radio/clock this weekend hope this helps.
