84 Toyota 4x4 intermittant wipers working erratic.Turn them on they will go up part way then stop, then part way again then stop. Regular wipers work fine except park position on the motor does not park properly(new motor has been ordered). Have replaced wiper relay control with 2 different (used ones) and the wiper/turn signal multi function switch with no results.Any thoughts???

 

I had a similar issue on my Chevy. Pull the relay out and clean the contacts, then give it a whirl.

 

Have clean the connector that the relay plugs into and tried 2 other relays.Replaced the wiper motor, turn signal switch and have cleaned and checked the ground for the relay on the inner fender and the ground for the wiper switch on the drivers side inner front post. have a buddy who works at Toyota and all the techs there are stumped too.

 

Why did you replace the turn signal switch if the wiper switch is where you are having issues?

Or are you saying you replaced the entire multi-function switch? Is it all one unit behind the steering wheel?

 

turn signal /wiper multi function switch to be exact. All in one behind the wheel, sorry bout that.

 

Anyone got any answers help.
