I have shifters out of my w56 (forward shift) out of my 1990 p/u that are already extended (which I need) and want to put them into my r151f (forward shift). The base plates look different,but from what I can see the way they are held into the base plates look the same (or very similar). It's hard to see because the r151f is still in the truck.Does anyone know if it will work to swap out just the shifters into the different base plates? If anyone knows for sure it would really save me some time tearing it all apart if it won't work.
