Picking up someone else's project?

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/2543892598.html

I'm looking for a longbed 4x4 to do a lot of work to, including a diesel swap. Thoughts on picking up someone else's project like this? I've done a major BMW project, so how hard could this one be?

I'd sell off about half of it - the engine, trans, both transcases, the bed, roll bar, maybe winch. Needing to finish the front driveshaft is halfway "just as well", in case I want to move the engine back for clearance (OM617's a big mother).

looks like a perfect candidate. you'll probably make back alot of your money selling off everything too.
