1985 4Runner Cruise Control Lights

I have never used the cruise control and I dont have any need for it. Just recently one of the lights on the dash turned on and I cant get it to go off. It stays on all the time and kills the battery. What does the light mean and how do I turn it off?

I did disconnect the emergency brake but that was a long time ago.

Here is what the whole truck looks like. Not sure if that matters.

That light turns on when you open the drivers side door, to illuminate your ingition cylinder. You need to jump the wires for the door jam switch.

Not what I expected the light to be for but thank you for your help.
