"Normal" valve chatter? 22r

I've adjusted my valve lash at least 4 times and I'm going insane chasing this rattle down, after searching the site is the normal valve chattter that all 22R's sound like? (Yes it has a 22RE valve cover.)

Lemme know what you think!

Try backing the valve cover nuts off a little,if that doesn't help it is most likely normal.

ALmost sounds normal to me, maybe a little noisy fuel pump as well like mine is. But x2 on maybe loosening up and/or replacing the valve cover grommets. If it's tightened down too much a few of the valve rockers can hit the cover. It's doesn't have to be much tighter than hand tight actually. Maybe a half turn if that pass hand tight.

I didn't realize that it will hit the valve cover, I've been cranking them bolts down. I'll loosen them up and give it a try.

If there's any other thought as to what's going on don't be afraid to chime in. Also I've been setting my valves to .06 Intake and .08 exhaust, is that correct?

talking valve cover not valves.

Just to clarify one thing, did you use a new valve cover gasket and grommets as well? Because those things can flatten out pretty good. If either are wore out or they will affect how close the valve rockers come to the cover as well as how tight they are cranked down.

How tight is tight enough for the valve cover? I just got a new gasket and the half circle gaskets seem to be pretty high. I thought crankig down would help, obviously I'll back off now.
