83 fj 60 carb rebuilt and running

ok i got the linkages figured out and the diaphragm worked once i got everything else connected right. i put the carb on and it ran great but im curious doesn't the diaphragm pull up and open the secondary valve all the way under full throttle, cause the only time i see the secondary valve move is the little bit it opens by the linkages do you have to be going down the road for this to happen or should both barrels open all the way by the truck sitting still and mashing the pedal all the way?

Do you have the secondary diaphram hooked up to the correct vacume port?

And in the future, please keep all this in one thread.

Post a pic of your carb without the air cleaner from the drivers side and post it up.

Heres some pics of desmogged 60: http://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wa...tall-60-a.html
