87 Toyota want run HELP.

I have a 22r and was going down the road went it started just cutting out trying to go dead finally it went dead. I cranked it back up and could give it not even 1/4 throttle and it would just go dead. Got it home went out the next day and it did the same thing got it home pulled plugs they looked alittle yellowish blackish color. Put new plugs in it backed maybe 20ft out of my shop and it just went dead now it want crank. Any Ideas?

Fuel, fire, timing, see which one you are missing.

I got fuel, spark, but how do I check timing

I have power to everything still so could it still be a bad wire because. I can still turn the motor over.

Test your fuel pressure, not just the presents of fuel.

Are you getting spark all the way to the plugs?

As for timing, you have to jump your diagnostic link under the hood and connect a timing light to the battery, ground and #1 plug wire. Aim it at the crank and magic happens.

Make sure your idle RPM is set at 850 for the timing test.

To me, it sounds like a weak fuel pump. However you said in the last statement that it wouldnt crank. Do you mean it wont fire up or it wont turn over anymore?
