dusty 87's 87 4runner slow mo fo build up
so.... i've been trying to get into yotatech for a while now and finally decided to make a buildup so i HAVE to come back at least once a week or so here goes nothing!
i'm gonna recap my endeavors up to recent to bear with me
recieved it from my dad in OCT 2008
replaced all brakes and had rotors and drums turned
removed the stock decals with a heat gun had no idea how to remove the sticky residue left behind
removed side trim and badges
swapped out the busted stock seats with some seats from a 88 dlx 4runner no rips no tears and.. they have pockets!!! awesome!! they bolt holes don't all match up and if i try to force it to work which is possible it tweaks the frame and makes the recline and slide functions useless so i have the seats in with only 3bolts not exactly happy about it but from what i hear fabricating a new hole isn't too hard so one day i'll get up the balls to do it
and recently saw a buildup about changing the bulbs to different colors and so i bought 194b bulbs so i could have a blue dash **WARNING!!** do not buy 194b bulbs they fade to green and piss you off really quick i recommend buying blue led 194 bulbs just make sure you put them in right because i believe they are like a diode only work facing one way and if your new bulb doesn't work turn it around cause it will change
i have tons of pics that i will add when i figure out how to so... with that tada!!! thats the end of the done pile now onto the to-do list
get headers and get a 2" exhaust with a muffler that has a nice deep sound (would love to hear suggestions)
have a custom made wide front bumper with plates and tubes to give it a wider look like the pre runners
cut the common inner wheel well rust out and widen flare the front fenders out to help with the pre runner look
mount the seats right and cut the new holes to secure the front seats
rip out the rear panels and add sound dampening sheets to reduce road noise
replace the interior side panels with sheet metal keeping the side pocket idea putting 3x9's between the pocket and the front seatbelt pillar adding 2 sub ports in the rear either where the roll bar is or between the storage hole and the roll bar also adding adding to the storage cubby and jack cubby
sanding and painting flat black is the idea right now
thats all i got for now but hey if you made it this far please tell me what you think and send me some ideas
