Question No Spark 86 22R pickup - Desperation row

Hi all I've spent hours googling for solutions and researching and still no luck yet. I'd really appreciate any suggestions you guys might have.

I replaced:
Spark plugs
Wires
Cap/rotor
Ignition coil
Ignitor - (used off ebay..$100 bucks...ouch!)
Pickup-coil inside the distributor

I pulled all my fuses under the dash and under the hood tested them with an ohm meter. All good.

I pulled the caps off the relays in the fuse cluster under the hood and manually pushed them shut to try and make sure they aren't stuck open.

I looked for inline fuses under the hood and found none.

The only thing I haven't replaced is the distributor itself because the rotor does spin when the engine turns over.

I'm measuring 12v at the connection that plugs into the ignitor when the ignition key is turned on.

I pulled a spark plug and plugged it back into the spark plug boot and held it with rubber coated pliers against the engine and still get no spark.

Does anyone have any suggestions beyond setting this thing on fire...cause I'm about there.

Thanks!
-Chris

I found the problem...

It turned out to be the ignitor. The one I got from ebay was defective.

So I bought a NEW one for 400 bucks. (ouch)

....started right up.

I hope this helps someone who is having the same problems.

did you bother to look around a junk yard for one or the part out threads? and autozone sells these as well $329.99.

For $400 bucks you could have switched over to an MSD system.
