quick question before i buy a new head

I am swapping a 22re for a 22re and looking at engnbldrs heads. and i really want the performance head vrs the stock. but my question is, will i lose on reliability puting more stress on the old girl.

shouldnt have to worry about it. i want one with a cam when i get the cash. EB sells great stuff and i doubt it would harm your truck

i put the preformance head from www.22repreformance.com and it was prob the best mod besides the the lce header that i have dun to my truck. i havent checked out the ones from EB but im sure you will be happy with the upgrade

Something to think of I have heard stories of the new added compression from a brand new head taking out a old bottom end.

If it is time for a new head you might want to think about the lower end as well.

That is the reason I have been told not to do a valve job when doing a head gasket.

You might want to ask Ted @ engine builder about this.

Thanks guys you made me ask, engnbldr agrees also.... puting the engine in soon. still gona have pace setter header/exhaust, and all OEM components to make the rest of her days awsome. good place to send fuel injectors out to....... anyone?

Witch hunter. Google for more info.

Also, I am also of the opnion that a new head on an old bottom end will cause problems....spun bearings.
