I am trying to toss it up between the Tacoma or Tundra. It really comes down to what kind of a deal I can find on one when I'm ready in about a month.

I'm looking for a 4x4, 4 door model regardless of either Taco or Tundra.

But What year did they change body styles on those two trucks? It looks as if the 2005 Tacoma was the year they upgraded some things? Is that correct? That 2005 was a newer body style?

i realize its not the Gen2 (which I think started 2007 right?)

Also, what year did the Tundra upgrade its looks?

I'm only gonna have around 12k to buy a truck with cash, so I'm hoping to find one with 80k or less. I just dont know if I can find a Tundra in these specs in that price range.

I'm really thinking of trying to make it to an auction to get the best deal possible.

Tacoma moved to its latest body style in 05, tundra in 07

 

The new tundras look to big like a new Ford, but atleast its a toyota.

 

Hmm. I dont think as much as I would prefer the Tundra right off the bat because its bigger, I dont know I would be able to afford an 07 Tundra, even at an auction for around that 12-13k mark.

I still need to see them in person, I dont know if I'll like how small the tacoma is compared to the tundra though.

But I will shoot for an 05 tacoma though if I decide to go that route.

Is there a specific model name that includes 4x4 & 4 doors?

When does leather come into play, with the "Limited" series?

 

I'm a fan of the body style of the 2005+ tacomas. The 4.0 V6 with TRD E-locker would be awesome.

Plus they're meteor proof.
