Okay, for the past couple of weeks it seems like ive lost some power, last night I noticed what I take as a slight knock in the top of my motor, sounds like it's coming from under the valve cover, I know little to nothing about mechanic stuff, but my old mans pretty good at it, what do you think is wrong?

Also my front end sometimes makes a whirring grinding noise, randomley and spardically, what do you think it could be?

Take a video and post it up. Use photobucket or something. millions of things it could be.

The small knock is probably your valves as it is coming from the top of the engine

 

If you have a noise from the top of your engine and you have lost power, it sounds like you need a valve adjustment.

Sorry I never got the video up, only video camera I got is my iPhone, and the sound quality is so bad you can't tell anything from it ( that and I'm still not sure how to post videos lol)

 

Look up "spindle bushing" for your grinding. There is a thread on how to make a tool to grease them. I made one, works great.
