so the 3.slow just blew up in my truck. head gasket is gone... i have a 1980 truck with a 20r sitting in the yard that im using to do my solid axle swap. My question is will the 20 r be strong enough to turn my 35's i currently have on the truck. Yes i want to run a carb instead of efi. Obviously i know i need proper gearing (4.88s) to help make it drivable. Im sick of the v-6 breaking down and i dont want to mess with it. i know the 22rs are virtually indestructible, but is the 20r?
