4WD troubles

I put my hubs in the lock position and they seem to click. I go to pull the 4WD shifter back and it just grinds as if you were trying to go into 4WD without the hubs locked. It is winter, so I don't know if maybe the cold temperatures is causing them to lock up.

There was one day i was driving on the road with my hubs in and the truck shook like i ran over a baby deer or something. Before this happened, 4WD didn't work and afterwords it did. After that storm passed, I took mu hubs out thinking nothing of it. With three inches of snow on the ground, I'm back with the same probelm again. I'd rather not crash, so if you got ant ideas what might be going on I'd love to hear um!!

It goes in when you're stopped, stays in, but it is only in two wheel drive still.

Mine were rusted up and did just that.

10mm socket, 12mm wrench, and pull them apart , clean and grease.

Someone in CO who did mine did not grease them up, so they stuck, rusted and would not engage.

Turned out some water leaked into the locking mechanism when i was wheeling over the summer. It must of frozen and sheared the spring. Grabbed one i had off a parts truck and she should be ready to go.
