Long winded, bear with me. Not really a leak, but oil collection.

Attached are two pics. I am trying to find the source of where this oil could come from. I have already replaced both valve cover gaskets and on a side note I just did the front crank seal last night so this is why I noticed the oil accumulation.

The engine was rebuilt by the PO and runs great. Good compression, no oil in the water, or water in the oil so I am guessing the head gaskets are not the source, but I am not ruling it out.

There is enough oil in there where it is "pooled" probably about 1/4" deep and it is below the tin cover and under the 2nd portion of the intake. Could this be leftover from the valve covers? The gaskets were cracked and leaked pretty bad.

On a side note, what other spots could this engine leak oil from if my front crank seal does not solve the problem of my "other" leak? Under the timing cover is clean, I replaced the valve cover gaskets, and now the front crank seal. It leaks so bad somewhere from the front that it hits the front pulley and sprays everywhere. I am hoping that the front crank seal fix's it, but oddly enough the bottom timing belt gear, had no oil on it, and the timing belt was clean. Front Cam seals look good as well.

I've degrease d it 4 times now.

The truck can sit and idle for 4 hours in the driveway and not leak a drop, as soon as you drive it, it looks like you sprayed the underside with oil.

Cam seals visually have no oil on them, or around them.

I do not see how they could leak, then the oil travel behind the in and have no oil in the timing belt area.

we will find out tonight if I am correct. Looks like the intake is coming off.

Glad last night I only got as far as putting the timing belt/tensioner and front pulley back on since it all has to come back off.
