So, my problem has reoccured for the past couple of months, but comes and goes as it pleases. Basically what is happening is at random my truck will start, run for about 3 seconds and then die. Every time there is one (tick) sound coming from the glove box area. I have done some research and haven't found anything similar to this problem. It will start fine for weeks, then when I am pressed for time it decides to die. When this problem occurs i can actually keep the rpm's up by feathering the gas and keep my truck running, but the first stop light I come to it dies. I hunch is that it is a starter problem...but I am not sure. Any help or advise for diagnosing this problem would be great.
As a side note, my truck runs great. It starts up quickly, and idles perfectly. I haven't been able to solve this issues because there really aren't any tell tale signs that i can identify. Thanks for the help
