75k on a rebuilt 22re engine

if a 22re engine was rebuilt at about 125,000 miles and the truck now has 210,000 on it,makeing the rebuild engine have 75,000 on it,how much more life is it likely to have? i need feedback because there is a 4runner forsale in my area and there asking $4,800 for it.

depending on what year, that price seems a bit high for something with 210K on it...

as far as the engine goes, it depends on how and where it was rebuilt. but i agree with the others the price on an 87 4runner verses a 95 4runner would be different. Personally I wouldn't pay 4,800 on an 87 4runner even in good shape. Maybe a 95 if the body/frame was still really good. but even then it sounds kinda high for a stock rig.

There is really know way to tell how many miles might be left on a engine. unless you were there right after it was born and put in your vehicle.

200,000 to 300,000 miles can be had take out the left side timing guide and mix coolant with oil at any time but most often in the 75,000 to 150,000 mile range It depends on driving and how it was cared for.

Even the best built engines will fail early if they are not taken care of.I am sure we all hear stories of no need to change oil I just change the filter and keep adding oil

You just never know I had one seller tell me a vehicle had a new engine 15,000 miles ago . There idea of a new engine was a yard motor with 125,000 miles . Which came out when I asked to see the paper work for the new engine.

Good luck with your quest don`t be afraid to ask question
