Toyota meltdown
#1
While driving my 86 toyota pickup, it cutoff & left all of my gauges on my dash on. I have replaced so many parts I am fustrated and it still won't start. It has a 22R motor w/carb. I replaced the igniter/coil, wires, sparkplugs, ecu so far. Someone was telling me about a cranksensor, but I am not sure if my truck has one on it. Also I checked the timing chain and it was good.

Maybe your ignition is shorting inside the steering console. Odd for a 22r to cut out completely. Obviously something is causing the motor to lose spark. You sure the coil wire to the distributor didnt pop out
Has happened to the best of us, myself included ... real fun on a busy freeway
