Does your ecu wire harness route through the intake manifold?
Doing the H/G on my 22rec, got the intake chamber pulled, but the "ECU wire harness" runs through the middle of the intake manifold (to the starter, etc). I don't see instructions on unwiring all these hard-to-reach bits in the FSM, so I'm wondering if there's another way around this.
Anyone got suggestions on avoiding unplugging another 10 wires, this time in hard to reach places?
I can see from this photo that I'm not the only 22re that has the harness routed through the middle of the intake manifold (is this the proper place to thread it?):

tnx, Seth

yeah the harness runs down through the lower intake manifold, plugs into the knock sensor, oil pressure sensor, and starter solenoid, and then goes further back over the transmission where you'll find 3 (if I'm not mistaken) plugs on the transmission, and then another for the O2 sensor
it's about a 5 ft long harness once you get it all unplugged and pulled out
they're all like that; it's how it's suppose to be... kind of a ridiculous way to route it if you ask me, but eh, it works I guess...

Yeah, thats the way we (me and a buddy did it) what a pita that was! We also stripped a allen head bolt on the intake and had to pull it off with the head.
Any thoughts to not putting it back thru the manifold?

I guess you could reroute it but then you have the problem of trying to plug in the connectors for the injectors. With the upper intake manifold in place.
I have a hard enough problem getting those clips off when I can see them.
Another problem is I am sure some of the harness would need to be lengthened.
