Not sure where I read this in the forum, but someone suggested that when removing the heads leave the exhaust manifolds on and leave the crossover pipe intact. What a time saver! From removing the hood to putting the heads on the bench 6 hours. Last time I did this it took 12.

To be honest I was shocked at how much help she was.

My wife=City Mouse....Me=Country Mouse!

 

Hahaha thats what I did on my 94 runner. So much easier to leave the exhaust on.
