89 4runner V6 Head Removal Trick- Time Saver!

Not sure where I read this in the forum, but someone suggested that when removing the heads leave the exhaust manifolds on and leave the crossover pipe intact. What a time saver! From removing the hood to putting the heads on the bench 6 hours. Last time I did this it took 12.



Also helps if you have the best wife in the world helping out!

Hahaha thats what I did on my 94 runner. So much easier to leave the exhaust on.
