1992 Pickup TC Long Travel questions

Christmas is around the corner and I think I'm going to bite the bullet and long travel my 1992 toyota pickup. I've been researching around and came up with a list of stuff I'm going to buy to make this all work out. I've estimated around $3000 for everything. What all am I leaving out? Things I should look out for? Is this something that I could do in 2-3 days?

- TOTAL CHAOS GEN II "CADDY" KIT (P.T. 9500)
- TOTAL CHAOS GEN II SHOCK HOOP KIT (TO MOUNT THE COIL OVERS)
(P.T. 95602)
- 2 KING HOSE RESERVOIRS COIL OVER SHOCKS 2.5 X 8" (P.T.PR2508-COHRS)
- 2 T100 AXLES TO RETAIN 4WD

If all goes well I hope to have long travel on my rig by new years

Lubbock is flat but i don't always stay in lubbock I get out sometimes ya know lol. The rear will have to wait a while until i can save up some more cash along with the fenders which arn't necessary to make it function. 8" coilovers are what TC reccomends on their website and are the only ones that can be used with thier shock hoop mount.

from the TC website
Parts NOT Included: (required for install)
Coil Over Shocks
4WD T-100 axles to retain 4WD
Upper Shock Mounts
T-100 Trucks require custom 300M extended axles.
Fiberglass Fenders

with that much increased width, your tires are going to hit the stock fenders before its fully compressed.
also you better plan to spend atleast another $1000 on top of your 3k your estimating its going to cost. everything is going to add up much faster then you think... trust me.

I have been wanting to do this kit a long time and I estimated it to cost close to 6000 or 7000 dollars to do front and rear with the fenders

... and I missed something?
So if I just replace my current stock axle with a t100 rear axle it would give me the same width as the front after the TC kit is installed? will my drive shaft bolt up to the t100 rear axle? Will I need bigger U-bolts?

Could a combination of wheel spacers and rim offset be used to match up the track width on the rear?

How bad an idea would that be?

Damn I would but I won't have the money until another week or two. Hopefully it's around until then. Thanks for looking out Robert!

Meh, I'd worry about the rear later. You can drive it just fine without widening it. Many of the rigs on the TC website are not swapped in the rear.

As for the glass, I guess if your LEO's care about it, then yeah, better figure something out. I'm not putting glass on mine. No need to spend all that coin just to have it get screwed up. Around here, johnny law only cares about the tires if you are a jerk to them when they've pulled you over for something else.

T100 rear is not a bad plan. It'll put you a hair wider in the back which will cause your rear wheels not to follow as well off road. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.

Good luck, looking forward to the progress.

yeah i think im going to have to put off the rear for a couple of months but I'm thinking I need at least something to balance out the height gain from the front. I don't want my front end up in the air and my rear end in it's stock height. What could i do to just temporarily get close to equalling the height until I can do the rear properly?

Personally, I'd just buy the TC kit and sit on it until you can do the rear at the same time. That way you just have to get an alignment and be done.

FWIW, I will have a set of custom Alcan leaf springs for sale in a bit, that are coming off of a bracket and TC lifted truck. The shackles on it could be reduced to get down closer to the height you need. Might be a pretty good set up.
