Replacement seats for taller people?

I have a '90 DLX PU.

I really hate the bench seat. 20 miles no problem. Farther sounds like a backache.

I've looked at the threads about seats. It looks like you loose some leg room with most buckets and after a few posts the threads kind of fall apart. I.E. after a page there are pictures of 4runners and extra cabs where you could fit a lazy boy in there.

For a regular cab pickup and you're more than 6' tall, what seats to get?

Thanks in advance.,.

I had the exact same problem in my 95 DLX single cab. I'm 6'3", The solution for me was buckets out of an 85 MR2. One of the best mods I've done yet. Those combined with the MOMO steering wheel, which gives your knees a lot more room.

Damn, I can see why you used those. They are so small. Definitely thanks for the picture.

The nearest set I can find is 3 hours away!

If I could use something like prelude seats, they look like they would be much cheaper. Maybe that's a pipedream.

Whoa. There are two mr2 sets in the whole state of Iowa according to this junkyard site. How much does the steering wheel help? Is it just a little smaller diameter?

The wheel makes a huge difference, not only is it a whole lot nicer to drive, it is significantly smaller. Think it's 350mm (13.78 inches) across, I don't remember how large the stock one is, but it made a huge difference in how I could position my legs. I used to have to bow them out around the wheel, now they fit nicely right under it. Keep looking, good luck!
