DeathCougar's SAS: Project "YJFlecker" AKA: the SHeep build

Well the time has finally come. FINALLY time for DC to complete the SAS on the truck.

I have been talking about it for years, and years. And finally, the right pieces to the puzzle have fallen in place.

Specs on truck/axles:

87 4Runner

-86 Turbo transmission
-Marlin dual cases 2.28 in first case/4.0 in second case converted to top shift, 23 spline for turbo trans
-Centerforce dual composite clutch
-30 degree CV front and rear
-Dual case skid plate/crossmember (can't remember brand?)
-3" TG front springs
-Custom hanger (axle moved forward 4")

Front axle specs:
-'85 Axle assy
-FJ60 rotors
-V6 calipers
-Longfield axles
-4.88 gearing
-ARB locker
-Custom steering
-1.5" wheel spacers

Rear axle specs
-4.88 gears
-ARB locker
-4" All-pro 56" springs

Lots more, but i am sure you all want some pics

First, BIG BIG BIG Thanks to Brian at WabFab for all his help, and getting me my parts fast and at a great price.

First day, when all the parts showed up:

Thankfully, no wife to be ticked off for putting parts on the kitchen table

Haven't set that yet. Will know more once we mock the axle into place. It will either be 3" or 4" forward, we may have to drill the spring perches out.

Spring hanger is much beefier than the TG option. He is using 1/4" tubing, as opposed to the .120" TG tube. The custom one will also replace the front frame crossmember, instead of being welded to the bottom of it. Trying to keep as low as possible with plenty of flex, on 37" tires.

Several comments in no order of importance:

-I love pics of Toyota parts on the kitchen table.

-I thought the word "sheep" was to be included in your build thread title

-Should we notify flecker and YJMudder of a build in their honor?

-Why are you unbolting the IFS? Going to sell it aren't you? Hack that crap off with a torch and in 10 minutes it's a pile on the ground.

-Yes, he is a homo.

Sheep was supposed to be....but I figured maybe it wasn't so appropriate

And I am a mechanic, I don't "hack" stuff off. I unbolt it properly so It can be used by the next sucker...err user....without damaging anything. And besides, we didn't have the torch.

I think YJHomo and Sheepflecker would love to see this thread. Particularly since they can't comment in it hehe
