Mikuni sidecraft, found a set for pretty cheap

Hi. I found a set of Mikuni Carbs for a 22r motor pretty cheap. My motor is stock. Should I get it? Idk, I could use the extra power buy adding in a camshaft I guess.

It's coming with a stock rebuilt head, rebuilt mikuni, linkage and nessary fuel stuff.

I would say its worth it, and if you can get a good deal on everything then go for it.

Ive never driven a 22R with side drafts, so i don`t know if there are pros or cons to the set up or not, but they look cool.

I know there is a way to tune side drafts, but i don`t know what it is. Do a google search on how to tune that set up.

I remember trying to keep my old dual carb balanced on my Bugs, those were upright, seems like side drafts would be a major pain.
LC Engineering has a balancer (sp?) on their website

I already paid for the mikuni. Looking at cams and stuff don't really know what I want yet. I saw a 1908 22r motor locally that would match the mikuni but the engine hasn't ran in about 1.5 years. I did a little research and the place that rebuilt the motor either hits or misses a rebuild. The motor is bored 1 over (it just said 1), stage 2 cams and 5speed transmission. They guy can't remember for his life what stuff is in there. Sounds like he is old and I don't know much from these motor, they all going to look a like from the out side. I kind of want to get it. I think I can get the whole thing for 250 but 250 is a lot of money if the ˟˟˟˟ don't run.

I had some duel mikunis on my truck once .. part of the evelution of the white knight (way back when)

motor was a 22r/20R hi-brid bored .030 over . and 5:29 gears

once tuned .. the truck when like a raped ape .. throttle responce was awesome .. but alas , I removed them in favor of a webber , and the stock air cleaner for off road use .. sold the mikunis to a celica guy ..
