hey guys, now before i hear it from you all, i have a line on a nice 99 4runner limited with the nice ass interior, now i know i can switch the seats, but can i switch the dash, i know the wiring will be different but i can read a diagram and fix that, im just wondering if it will fit in nice enough to make it work, ive seen a 1st gen pickup with A taco dash, so i know its possible, what do you all think, oh and if it wont work how do the body mounts compare to the 2nd gen vs. 3rd i have sas'd my 95 and would be willing to do a body swap if the mounts are close, i swapped my 88 cab and bed for an 85 4runner body in high school so i not a newb in that department, thanks again guys looking forward to some feedback

 

I can`t give you any help on this other than to say anything is possible with a little bit of fabrication, or you can do the body swap.

 

Why in the world anyone would want to undertake such a project is beyond me...

I would not even attempt it... It would be one thing if the two trucks were made at the same assembly plant... But a Taco and a Mini???


I'd swap the seats and call it a day... That alone would be well worth doing.

 

I would do the same..just the seats..thats just a job that personally..im not down to do..
