Oil in #2 exhaust port

I have been trying to search the threads for a answer, but can't find one. I might not be searching the correct cause.

I just bought a 85 4runner that is blowing alot of smoke, like it is buring oil. Started to pull off the head yesterday, and I noticed oil in the #2 exhaust port. The other 3 were full of black carbon, but dry. Is the oil a bad valve seal?

Thanks for the input.

could be a ring too. Inorder to figure out which one, I would do a compression check. No sense on pulling the head and rebuilding it only to find out you have bad rings as well.

BTW save that 4.3 in that ELKY. You might want it for the 4runner. Might be cheaper for ya to do a swap instead of a rebuild on that 22r.

Thanks for the info. The only problem with the 4.3 is that it also need to be rebuilt. Saving it for the next project. ( If my wife does not kill me first.)
