front cross member and bolting

this used to mount here

not the best place in the world. see the warped and dented mounting holes. i know 4x4inovations makes a mounting plate but is there any other way to mount the push bar here? then again im thinking about a square tube bumper as well from these

since non of the 30 of you who have viewed this yes i have seen the different mounts and tabs and all that. what i want to know is can the cross member be drilled where the frame is and threaded using some sort of insert with built in threads. perhaps weld the insert into the frame/CM and for the hole beside it weld in a straight through piece that can be bolted onto

Patience. Search. Stop the booty fab.

Going to put on a bumper, look at ones that are fabbed and fabbed right. If done right they won't do crap like that to your frame.

That honking 4x4 tubing is too darn big for a front bumper.

no im thinking about the big ass trucks that Asplundh uses when they clear off under the power lines offroad the ones with huge ass tires and lift. im thinking huge! naw way to big for a toyota the 4x4" is being used for my flatbed and the poop pipe is for me to pin up and play from on designing my bumper. not planning on actually using it

trust me i've already seen all the bumpers, sliders, flatbeds, exo's etc im thinking something more in the idea of this
