moter turns over and has fuel but wont start

ok so 2 days ago i get in my truck, turn the key and no start. i bump start it drive home, figured i need a new battery. yesterday, get my battery tested, its fine and find out jump starting wont work either but bump (clutch) starting still works fine. thinking its the starter i get a new one, i disconnect my positive from my battery. as im getting ready to install i notice a wire with a push on clip hanging. i push it into the starter and the old starter turns over fine, but now it wont fire, and bump starting wont work either. i smell fuel when i turn it over and pump the gas so i dont think its a fuel issue. where do i go from here?

what year is your truck ?, im going to guess that it has a 22RE in it, if so, start by checking the EFI fuse under the dash on the drivers side, my truck wouldn`t start one day because the EFI fuse was corroded, cleaned it up and all was good. it could still be a lot of other things, but start with the simple things first.

it's amazing how a 50 cent part can wreak havoc.
