Driveshaft woes

I pulled the driveshaft due to vibration. Had u-joints put in. Put drive shaft back on. Took drive shaft back off to get balanced.

Now the marks on the flanges aren't real clear.

How can I get the driveshaft back on in the proper configuration?

I'm not even sure if it's possible, or where you'd get it done, but balancing on the the rig is about all that's left. Or by trial and error - put it on, drive it, if it shakes move one end clockwise one bolt, and so on.

Personally, my OCD takes over for things like this more than it's probably worth. I doubt the shaft is balanced on the truck before it's installed at the factory, so while it's recommended to put it back on the same alignment I doubt it matters a whole lot.

Just my $0.02.
