My brother told me that you can get fuel injectors to replace carburetors on old vehicles and I was curious about them. I am having a hard time locating them due to not knowing what to look for and slow internet. I have a 84 Toyota truck 4x4 with with a 21R-U engine(yes I know they aren't the greatest) and just wondering if a injector is available for it.

 

That's pretty rare! Did you get that thing from Japan?

I've heard that those things have significantly lower compression and power than the 22R, so depending on how you feel towards it, maybe just swap in a 22RE if you want fuel injection.

I know that the intake setup from the 22R is different than the 21R-U, so if you got an intake from a 22R-E you would have to do some modifications, and the more I think about it just get a 22R-E!
