Wow, yeah, and huge difference. Little things can make a really big difference on these things. I don't have too much rust...but the little bit I have really makes it look a lot crappier than it could. I'll get to it someday.

Thanks! I used RustOleum red primer for rusty metal then RustOleum gloss white on the back sides and satin on the fronts after power washed the wheels at 2500 psi and sanded the crap out of them. Im thinking about hitting the frame soon too, I want to rig up something to my compressor and blow the dirt and debris out of the frame rails first though, any suggestions?

thanks for the info..so that's a satin finish I'm seeing, right? and what grit sand, 400?..You should be able to access your frame from the rear, after taking off the bumper. Yea I had my entire undercarriage restored.. Actually it wasn't that greasy, just a ton of road dirt..painted it with por-15..

I used 80 grit on the rust then 200 to smooth it all out and to smooth out the intentional runs I put in the primer where the rust had left minor pits to fill them in... The satin white looks good in my opinion, I was going to go with gloss white but Paul Best the historian on the Trekker site informed me that the stock finish was more satin than gloss, Im glad now that I dindt go gloss on the outside, the backs are very shiny and smooth but the satin looks good!

I am! Its a blast to drive, Ive had a lot of people give me thumbs up, though I get that occasionally from other Toyota people in my 88 for some reason.. I had an old guy walk over to me at a gas station and tell me about his old Trailblazer that he had, he thought thats what mine was from a distance, he said that he hasnt seen one in over 15 years!
