Alternator removal issue

Alternator removal issue

How do I remove this metal sheath thing? Tap it out from behind? what would I use? It's the last piece holding in the alternator - I can still swing the unit back and forth on this pivot.

do not remove it. just remove the long bolt on the top of the alternator and wiggle the alternator back and forth - just pop it out.

Ok, I learned that it's a bushing and not supposed to be removed. I'll go try pulling on it again.
