A340h automatic transmission

1991 4runner Automatic 4WD 3.0
Dear yota tech
i need your 2 cents
4 wheel drive light keeps flicking on and off when in 2H... transmission was clunking when it shifted into what seemed like gear 2 until i unplugged what appeared to be a very very plugged up vacuum check valve... shifts ok now... but light still comes on and off...

i can elaborate and even add some pictures of anything that would be useful

Where's this vacuum valve located?

The light could very well just be the indicator switch on the front of the differential getting intermittent contact when it shouldn't be. But, that valve has me questioning things a bit.

If you unclogged it, try resetting your ECU, If the code comes back..... well you know.

On second thought.. im not sure,, but i didnt think the "4x4" flashed codes.
I google for days before i start a post.
