hey i have an 81 toyota, 2.4L,22R,long box and i would like to put a performance exhaust system in. i have about 300$ CAD. to spend on it what would you recomend?

you can get a headder from summit racing or ebay for around 150, Theres alot of good turbo mufflers or a Flowmaster. My truck has 2 inch exhaust on it and that shouls be plenty. now just find a muffler shop to bend the pipes

 

like skooterbumm said a header would be nice.

magna flow $80 (great sound,well made,good flow)
flow master $70(ok tone,too quiet IMO, not one of the best flowing)
glass pack $20(great sound,loud,great flow, cheap)
cherry bomb extreme $55(great sound, good flow, loud)

if you decide you want a flowmaster go to your local auto store and get a thrush fully welded same exact muffler as the flow master for $30. i have been think about getting one my self.

$150.00 header
$ 30.00 muffler thrush
$100.00 labor
$ 20.00 chrome tip.

$300.00 add $50 for a magna flow subtract $100 if you do it yourself.

On my 83 SR5 with a 22r I am running 2.250 pipe, no cat. Hooker header and flowmaster 40 series muffler. Have the muffle right at the start of the bed and pipe all the way out the back. Sounds great!
