total chaos, camburg, toytec UCA questions

so, i've been going through upper ball joints quite frequently, and im just going to go with an aftermarket upper control arm this time around, and have been looking at the camburg, TC, and toytec LR upper control arms. anyone with input on which set will be most durable? least headache?

are all of the uca's mentioned longer than stock, and will push my front wheels out?

I bought some camburg, it didn't mess with my alignment at all. ran my C/O's with an alignment, then added my UCA's a year later. the camber is built into the arms.

ok thanks, so the camburg upper control arms aren't any different in length vs. stock? ie. they dont push the wheels out farther?

Nope, they lined up very similiar. I suggest when you get arms, get the ball joint tool (30 bucks) from Total Chaos. and an impact gun. you reuse the c clip on your bj's. and I'm sure the arms are like all the same. The reason you have more travel is related to the uni ball having more range of play, you'll see when you get them out of the box. Don't need an alignment. Go TC or camburg.

And to have your wheels stick out farther, you'll have to Long travel it. thats another can of worms.

Haha yes it is, snowrunner!

My vote is for total chaos, they really make a great product, and stand behind it. But, camburg makes some good products as well, don't get me wrong. I just have personally put my tc kit to the limits (probably beyond)

You'll pull a more efficient lift out of your front end, and gain about an extra 1" of droop travel, not to mention correct that ball joint issue. 4130 chromoly...pretty much unbreakable

If you really want to get the cadillac ride, get a pair of icon shocks (previously known as donahoe racing) bang for your buck, uppers and icons do very well together. (king and racerunner shocks are a bit more expensive)

Hope this helps, if you have more questions I can help you in the prerunnin area!

We got a truck in once that was built by all pro, it had their lift kit on it with some piece of crap fox bypass shocks all around. Only good thing that all pro did to it was put a nice bumper on it.

Pretty much the thing couldn't off road if its life depended on it. The owner was really disappointed, and took it to us to put a TC kit on it. He went with uppers and king bolt-ons, with some king smoothies on the back.

Not surprisingly, he said the difference was night and day. IMO, all pro is good for bumpers but not for lift kits.

This particular truck was built by all pro as well. You should have seen how they routed the brake lines around the uppers...it looked like hellen keller installed it.
