'03 Cracked Front Bumper Grill

This is a call out to any '03 owners. I just discovered that my front bumper has 2 cracks in the grill portion, just below and in between the license plate brackets. There is zero sign of impact damage & I definately haven't hit anything with it. Looks like it just cracked on it's own.

Anyone else run into this? I'm gonna take it into the dealership and see what they have to say about it.

Nope. Maybe someone backed into you really slowly while parallel parking--->doing the braille method.

Had to re-read your response, at first I thought you said you were gonna check your wife for cracks!

No cracks on the bumper grill on my 4Runner. Thought it best to be very specific about what I checked.

No cracks in my bumper. I've got cracks in the clearcoat on several panels (paint defect), so it's going into the body shop in a few weeks to be repainted.

No cracks here what so ever on the part of the grill. Could have been a faulty installation? Not sure but I doubt that the stealer will fix it though (but it's always worth a try!!)

But I do have some other scrapes and what not around the entire bumper though

i don't have any major cracks in my grill area either, but asking your dealership about it is probably a good thing to try first -- in case they have been hit by lightning and actually found that they have beating hearts willing to help you out. then again ... ;P

but yeah, check with them and if they can't help you out, then you could always get a body shop to take a look at it.

i'm not going to comment on the checking wives for cracks thing though.

the only things i notice on my cladding are some scratches (our duplex garage is small, and i think i side-swiped a trashcan my brother misplaced next to my truck. also, when i took off my hood grill to install a lund bug shield, i set it up against something and half an hour later it slid down and got all scraped up on the concrete.

but ... those things were all my fault, so, i can't complain. anyway, no bumper/grill cracks here - just some minor injuries

do you have pictures of the cracks in your grill????

good luck, i'm sure there is something they can do to fix it ... just depends on finding the right "they" to go to!!

No cracks here either.

If you can't get it fixed under warranty, try this place for replacement parts or any other parts you might want. They have some nice diagrams.
