quick questin about transmission...

i have a 92 4runner that the motor is blown, and the tranny is shot. i also have a 2wd pickup that is the same 4 speed auto tranny. can i just unbolt the tailshaft off my 2wd tranny and bolt the transfer case up? i'm gonna be putting the motor from my 2wd pickup into the 4runner if i am able to just swap trannies that easily.

thanks for all the help and input. from what i have gathered, i'm better off spending a couple hundred on a 4wd transmission and transfer case from craigslist or something. i guess the main shaft in the 4wd transmission is shorter than the 2wd transmission? and it's a hell of a lot of work to switch them out?
