O2 Sensor Issues
Hello! I'm new here, but I'm really glad I found this site, 'cause I'm Right in the middle of the re-install of the motor for my toy after a fresh rebuild.
My question is this...I just put a headmann header on my 22re, and there's no bung for the sensor! Is there a way to fool the computer into thinking that there's a good sensor in there, without a sensor? I've heard of a chip or resistor that plugs into the harness in place of the sensor, but noone around here seems to know where to find anything like that. Please Help! Thanks!
My Toy: '85 Toyota 4x4 pickup, 22re, .040 over, Balanced,
.435 lift cam, Headmann Header, 2.25" exhaust, 40 series Flowmaster

Voltage range for sensor is .2-.7V with .45 being correct mixture. You can try putting .45 volt into the sensor wire to see if the computer will take it. Connect a battery to a potentiometer and adjust until you get .45v. Worth a try for couple of dollars at Radio Shack.
But why not just have somebody weld a bung on.
