wider tires on a stock hilux 4wd

obeying the common rule of 'lurk more', this is my first post but my question's something I've had a hard time pinning my finger on..

my '94 hilux 4x4 has to fill a huge role, from 100 mile daily drives to working and functioning in some pretty nasty mud (im a rancher in S. Florida)

I have 30" street treads on it right now, and I was wondering what the best setup for me would be to be able to swap out the wheels for a set with 31x12.5" mud tires I have in mind on it.

I'm looking to have steering clearance with that much wider tire, but still be able to swap my set of mud wheels for my street wheels. I don't care about trimming wheel wells, I don't care about appearance, or the tire sticking out from the truck, at all, so whatever I have to do is okay.

I was thinking a set of wheels with alot less backspacing for the mud tires might work, but I don't even know where to begin looking.
Recommendations??

just go 33's then, you might have to trim the front fenders and inner wells a little if you dont want any rubbing

My vote would be 32x11.5's on some 15x8's. I had that setup on the 86 4runner, don't remember what my backspacing was, but i had very little rubbing.

my ol'man is runnin 36's with a 4 inch lift. it rubs pretty bad when it's flexed but he only uses it for playin in the mud and eventually we're puttin his snow plow on it. but it still runs up and down the road just fine
