chilton's manual sucks!

i'm trying to learn how to work on my 94 pu 4x4 using the chilton's repair manual and i swear this thing is useless. unless you already have some knowledge of auto mechanics, chilton's book is way...way to vague. not to mention pretty sure somethings are just flat wrong( you don't need to disconnect the caliper after it's already hanging out of the way in order to remove the wheel bearing). does anybody know of a manual and where to get it that is detailed enough for someone is just learning. thanks in advance

Moved to the Newbie Tech Section.

Haynes is the same idea but may be more what you're looking for.
I would just go to an O'Reillys or AutoZone and see what they have.

Also a quick search may give you more than those could for a specific problem as well as a search on here of course.

Get a shop manual, or download it. Search google.
