eBay rebuilt V6 3.0 3VZE

I can't seem to find one at the moment, but there was a company in N. Texas that had rebuilt 3VZE shortblocks for $500 (plus shipping and core). Anyone ever deal with them?

Or would I be better off buying a rebuild kit from Engnbldr.com and having a local machine shop do the machine work and assembling it myself?

This is all of course if once I get the engine out that the heads check out.

Thanks for any advice...

What about a JDM engine? This one includes a transmission (mine is whining and will need a rebuild eventually). Anyone have any advice on these?

that seems expensive, maybe you should think about a 3.4 or 7m swap

my 3vz is getting the block rebuilt..and a head job on both heads for $900 in Tulsa, OK (about 80miles from me..my dad goes up there for work everyday lol)

so all i'll have to do it buy a gasket set (exhaust manifolds, intake manifolds, then all the small misc. gaskets and such) and stuff like water pump, new knock sensor and pigtail wire, tensioners as well and i'll be good to go..he said it'd take about 2 days as long as there is nothing wrong.

new pistons and rods, all new bearings, block cleaned and honed, crank turned (or new crank...new crank cost extra), full head job too

that includes the head gaskets too LOL

whenever i get it back..i'ma paint that dude (the block and heads) so i can see ANY oil leak that may come up.

that also comes with a new timing belt and oil pump lol

i'm gonna replace just about everything..i don't wanna have to go back into this dang thing a couple years down the road LOL, i'm also redoing the exhaust so i can get rid of the stock crossover

Who is rebuilding it in Tulsa for you?

I'll probably just rebuild it, I'll have a local machine shop do the work and I'll put it together. It'll be mid summer before I'll have the money though. I just want this on the road before next winter. I hat driving my wife's Taurus everywhere since my Mustangs don't do well in all this snow...
